School has started, and I have applied to over 100 teaching jobs, two districts I have over 25 apps logged in. Out of that entire number, I have gotten an in person chat at a teacher recruitment fair and four calls for interviews. I am in northern florida and cannot relocate now that school has started as my own kids are already in school. I am very down about it, as some jobs I never got called for and some send back emails saying thank you we received so many applications from qualified applicants, thanks for applying. I am very down about it, and need to take a break from applying over and over again, as I feel very sad about not being selected. I am wondering if the fact that I am a non ed major, and have only sub taught is a bar.

Jenna There is a shortage in Florida but the need is concentrated in high-poverty schools where teachers are already walking out (1 month into the school year). Well run districts get to choose.
