Took my math section for the second time and essay for the third time today. Essay section only had one topic and math had 50 questions with the same amount of time. The math questions were much harder than the previous test or my practice tests. I'm not seeing any changes on the DOE website, so what's going on?! I failed the math again and the one topic I had to choose from for the essay was terrible! I want to cry!

Lynn0612 Other applicants taking exams since 4/1/19 are also reporting that ELS and Professional exams are now 50 instead of 40 questions with no additional time. Just a new avenue for Pearson to fail applicants and get additional money!

Gary Lynn, you are absolutely right that adding 10 questions (25% longer test) is a huge burden for the test takers. This is complete BS....I test next week and this news is bad news. I am going to call tomorrow and see if I can file a complaint with someone. Also, adding 30 extra questions drains you that much more...its almost equal to completing a 5t...See More

Lynn0612 @Gary - I called DOE and got transferred x7. I eventually reached the Assessment Office 1-850-235-0513 and talked to Jasmine. All staff said they were not aware of a 50-question test and exam is usually 40-42 questions. Her final solution was I could request a test verification. Gary How ridiculous can a Dept of Ed get? The people who added those questions have no clue...at all.
