Read the prompt first and make a "skeleton" thesis with blanks for reasons. Then as you read the text, you fill in the blanks. Once you fill in your blanks, you are ready to write your essay.

Hello and thank you! Yes, I have reviewed the study guide and I have created a template. Since I know my weaknesses I have practiced more for poetry since they would save me time on reading a long excerpt, but unfortunately, both previous tests were long, dense prose. Praying for poetry this time.
