Hello! I am a Second Grade Teacher, from Massachusetts, who is looking for a class to team up with for the 2004- 2005 school year. I would like our classes to correspond both by snail mail and e-mail. I will have 23 students starting in late August. Please contact me if you are interested. MEB
We still need a representative from your state. Please email me if you would like to participate in sending and receiving approximately 50 postcards from around the United States and a few other countries. We will be sending out the cards starting in September and finishing up before Thanksgiving. Take a look at the website I created to display last years cards for ideas of what to write on the back. It is a great opportunity to see the world without leaving your classroom. I look forward to hearing from you.
My wife and I current live in Boston, MA. I teach high school English, which she is finishing a residency in Internal Medicine. She has a possible opportunity to work in a Honolulu Hospital for a year (starting summer 2005).
I hear the cost of living is high in Hawaii (and I thought Boston was bad!). What is the general range that a furnished 2BR house/apt. rent for in Oahu? Are there teaching opportunities, and what is the pay like? Would my Mass. Licensure be reciprocal? Are there certain places on Oahu that you would recommend we look at or avoid. We need to be close enough to Honolulu for my wife's commuting. As a side note, we also have a 6-month old daughter and two greyhounds.
And insider tips or information would be greatly appreciated, since a lot of the info out there is strictly related to vacation travel. Thanks!

Hi, I am Miss M, a 5th grade teacher, from MS. Your state is needed for a K-6 postcard exchange. We'll only be accepting one address from each state. Please keep in mind that you will be responsible for sending a postcard representing your state to all of the 49 states on the list. I will send you a list of all teachers participating in September. The list will close on September 30 or as soon as we have all 50 states. Help me spread the word! We will mail out postcards the month of October. IF you are interested please email me at [email removed].
We are looking for someone from Hawaii to join our postcard exchange! E-mail me and tell me of your interest. You are one of six states left! Please join us. :-) Many teachers are having their students bring in two postcards that already have a stamp on them. That will make it cheap and easy to write something on your postcard about your state and send it on its way. There are many great ways to incorporate these postcards into geography lessons. We look forward to hearing from you.
