Hi! I'm a middle/high school Spanish teacher in New York. My husband is in the military and Oahu could possibly be our next duty station. I know very little about the school system in Hawaii and was wondering how easy/difficult it would be for me to find a job as a Spanish teacher. I have a BA in Spanish and a Masters Degree in Special Ed, but Spanish is what I would like to teach. I'm certified in grades 5 - 12 and have 5 years teaching experience. I know I would have to go through the lengthy process of getting my Hawaii certs, but aside from that, does anyone have any information about foreign language education in the Oahu schools? I'd appreciate any information, advice or contacts!! I have to admit, reading some of these other threads gave me a little anxiety about all this!
