Teacher Furlough Days

Hi, I recently read about the upcoming teacher furlough days. How do the teachers really feel about this? I taught in Georgia for a bit and they also have furlough days, although nothing like Hawaii. Give me your thoughts:)

Dee I think it is a shame that our government doesn't value education. If they did, furlough days wouldn't occur because it directly impacts student's learning and the future of this country. nala Oh my goodness, I just heard that it is going to be a total of 42 days lost for the school year! I was under the impression that it was going to be only 17 days which is alot as it is. Then I hear it is 17 days missed just until the end of the 2009 year but a total of 42 days!!!! Truly unbelievable. Is this true???
