Is there a need for English Teachers in Iowa?

I am from Northwest Ohio and there is too many teachers, but not enough openings. I have excellent references and satisfactory evaluations from administrators. Also, I have one year teaching experience in another state. Are the school districts smaller, meaning that most counties have more than one school district in their county? Here in Henry County, Ohio, we have four school districts. Is being employed as a Teacher competitive in Iowa as it is in Ohio? I am thinking about teaching in Iowa, if it is possible.

Zodea Most schools are not hiring. Iowa Reap website shows only 18 jobs in Language Arts which is actually more than most subjects. Not all schools post there, but most of them do. With budget cuts most schools are shuffling teachers around as people retire, not hiring new ones.
