A great group of teachers is looking for several states to join our yearly postcard exchange. We are only interested in dedicated teachers who are willing to be 100% committed to this project, so please only respond if you are truly interested. Unless you have wonderful parent volunteers who are willing to supply your postcards and stamps, you will most likely spend around $50 total on postcards and stamps. Please keep that in mind!
Each teacher is responsible for sending one postcard to each participating teacher (you will send out 49 postcards and in turn receive 49 postcards). Messages on the postcards can be written by your students (or by you if you teach younger grades), and may include interesting facts about the city/state you live in, state symbols, etc. A complete address list will be emailed to you by September 1st (possibly earlier if we have 100% participation by then). The deadline for sending your postcards is October 31st.
If you are interested in joining, please email me the following information:
Your name The grade you teach Your school's name Your school's address Your email address Your school's website or your classroom website address
Once again, please only reply if you are certain that you will be able to participate fully in our exchange. Thanks!!

Hi! I'm organizing a postcard exchange in which we hopefully will have at least one class from each state and D.C. pariticpating. All classes send postcards to the other states, and receive one from each in return! It is a lot of fun...a great geography and writing project and you and your students will LOVE it!! Please e-mail ASAP me if you'd like to join us to represent Idaho!! Any grade level is welcome...though many are 2nd grade classes. Thanks! Colleen [email removed]

My name is Courtney Wright and I am a graduate of Peabody College of Vanderbilt with secondary certification (7-12) in English. Currently, I am a graduate student at Northwestern University working under the direction of Dr. Michael E. Roloff in the Department of Communication Studies with a concentration in Interaction and Social Influence. For my 2nd year project, Professor Michael E. Roloff and I are conducting a research study entitled, Classroom justice, principled dissent, and tenure status: Instructor reactions to perceived unfairness (IRB Project # 0423-055). The purpose of this research study is to explore instructor perceptions of, and reactions to, justice violations within school policies and procedures.
I am in desperate need of a population to sample and thus I am asking you, my fellow educators, if you would be willing to volunteer for my study and complete a questionnaire (the link is provided below). I am very interested in having your viewpoints included in this study and would greatly appreciate your being willing to spare a little bit of your time (approximately 45 minutes) to help a fellow educator and hardworking graduate student. The Northwestern University Institutional Review Board (IRB) has approved this research study and your participation will be completely confidential.
Please be gracious enough to complete and return the questionnaire [link provided below] via email. Directions to guide you through this technological process are included below. Because this is a “snowball” survey, we (Professor Roloff and myself) would appreciate it if you would forward this email to at least two fellow educators, one with tenure status and one without. We will appreciate any, and all input we receive regarding instructor perceptions of justice violations in school policies and procedures. Thank you in advance for your support!
Feel free to email me at c-[email removed].
Sincerely,
Dr. Michael E. Roloff, Faculty Investigator m-[email removed]
Courtney N. Wright, Co-Investigator c-[email removed]

I live and teach in CA but very much wish to relocate to a local culture I would fit into better and be more comfortable with than this one.
I have 11 years high school social studies experience here and would like to know if there are any similar positions in Idaho, anywhere. Also, I would like to know where to look and how to get started. So far my search has produced no viable results, and I'm somewhat discouraged about my prospects.
Any help or information is most gratefully appreciated!
BTW I did a job search here after registering on this site but it says "zero jobs found." Is this correct or is the job listing function here worthless?

Hello Scott, Idaho is a beautiful place to live. Maybe I can be of assistance. What local culture are you looking for? Sue
