Found a fantastic new chapter-book series for ages 7-9 that the kids in my class are thrilled about. It's called the Incredible Journey Books and it has fast-paced worldly adventures filled with geography facts. The plots are interesting and the series has done the trick to get my third-grade class interested in exploring the world map. The books have a great site that has an Africa unit along with puzzles to go with each book. Go to [link removed].
Hi, my name is Brenda Koch. In 1885, I was in an elementary class (for a very short time) taught by a woman named Barbara Kisinger. I am hoping to locate her because I want a chance to reconnect with this wonderful woman who made such an amazing difference in my life. If you have any information, please let me know.
A Library book that is only identified by a sticker MRS.POSTE inside, has been returned to the Boise Public Library. Can anyone tell me how to locate this teacher? Vicki Rae Circulation Mgr. Boise Public Library
Attention Sara Tomlin or anyone who knows how to contact her. My name is Karen Abbott. My son, Michael Wright, is distraught over the loss of one of his favorite teachers. If anyone knows how to reach Mrs. Tomlin, he would like to write a note and let her know how much he appreciated her. When he asked East Valley Middle School to forward a note, they simply put it in her "box" at the school and refuse to forward it. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Primarily Teaching is designed to provide access to the rich resources of the National Archives for educators at the upper elementary, secondary, and college levels. Participants will learn how to research the historical records, create classroom materials based on the records, and present documents in ways that sharpen students' skills and enthusiasm for history, government, and the other humanities.
Each participant will search the holdings of the National Archives for documents suitable for classroom use and develop strategies for using these documents in the classroom or design professional development activities to help classroom teachers use primary source documents effectively.
The National Archives preserves and makes available to the public the permanently valuable records of the United States government. Although the best known of these are the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, there are billions of textual documents, maps, drawings, photographs, films, sound recordings, and computer tapes in the National Archives holdings that record the American experience of government from 1774 to the present.
The cost of the institute, including all materials, is $100. Graduate credit from a major university is available for an additional fee.
Participation in the Washington, DC, session is limited to 20 members; participation in the sessions at the Presidential Libraries and regional facilities is limited to 10 members each.

As part of a graduate research project, I need to gather data from current teachers. I’m researching the use of technology in the classroom and what factors affect it. If you could just take a few minutes to complete my survey, I’d appreciate it. The survey is online and has 15 questions.
There is racism in Idaho starting in Boise. I have lived here for a long time and have experienced it. Every state has racism in it, but Whitaho has more racists, and prejudice people than any state I have been in. Ask any of your black friends, if you have black friends and I don't mean aquaintences, who have lived in idaho for a long time over 20 years, and who is over 30 years old. If they have one racial or prejudice experience thats enough, but they will have more.
Hello, A 4th year postcard exchange is not complete because we need a teacher representative from Idaho. Please contact me if you would like to exchange postcards with teachers across the USA!! It is lots of fun and can be tied in with any subject area. Let me know soon :)
Hello all! I'm looking for an elementary class that is interested in a postcard exchange project. If you, or someone you know, is interested please let me know. I'm missing a participant for your state.
For this exchange, we will all send a postcard to the other 49 state participants during the school year that contains a real-life (not kid-drawn) picture of their state (or a feature of the state) and some fun facts for the students to learn. (I saw vistaprint.com had some good deals on state postcards bought in bulk). Once I gather all the state participants, I'll forward the addresses of everyone before school starts (in label format so you can peel and stick). In this email I will let everyone know what month they are to send their cards out. This way we get them throughout the year. I will also try my best to send a friendly reminder at the beginning and end of the month for those who are to send out to help remind everyone.
Please email me with the following information so I can mark you down as the participant for your state.
Your name (with appropriate abbr. Miss, Ms., Mrs., Mr.) Your school name Your school address Your grade level
If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me!
