I am currently working on my teaching certificate in Idaho and need one more online reading course for my endorsement. Does anyone have suggestions of possible online or correspondent courses?
One of the most difficult things about our current situation is the cost of living compared to our salaries. We would greatly appreciate any suggestions that you might have as to good places to relocate to (especially if they might need music teachers in 09-10!)

What your parents relayed to you is probably half-true. Idaho is probably short of math, science, and special ed teachers. Maybe these teachers could teach without a credential under intern programs. But most states have a surplus of other types of teachers
What is going on? Where is anyone who actually cares about teachers, be they novice or veteran? Aren't we supposed to care about ourselves? Where is the solidarity and all of that good stuff? Let us know what's going on. We are not alone.
I taught 2 years in a Literacy Intern Program for 2 years then the program was terminated. I am finishing my 3rd year at my current school. That is 5 years but there was a 1 year gap in between (Spring of 2005-Spring of 2006). If anybody knows if that still counts as 5 years, please help me.
