Greetings from northern Idaho. I live in beautiful Bonners Ferry, Idaho, close to the Canadian border. We have wide open spaces, beautiful scenery, and friendly people in our area.
I am a first grade teacher and am using the four block framework. I would love to hear from other people living in Idaho.
James, I would check out the University of Idaho website...they could likely steer you in the right direction...
Char, Hello - how fun. Myself and Julia Leroy observed you a few years ago at the end of our student teaching experience at Winton (I taught with Kim Duncan). In fact, I teach with Michelle Kish (she student taught at Fernan and now teaches first grade) and myself (kindergarten in Post Falls) and we recently used some templates you had given us regarding plant journals. I enjoyed observing your class and have used a lot of your ideas...thanks again for the experience. I have been on the early childhood ring for a few years now and it is great to see a familiar name! ~April Freeman

Hi, I don't actually live in Idaho yet, but I'm going to in about a year. My boyfriend/soon-to-be fiance is moving to Eastport, so after we get married, I will live there too. I currently live in Texas and have one more year of school left before I get my degree in education. I would really like to teach middle school. If anyone could tell me anything about Eastport (school system, the community, anything) I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Hi: Went to PR from 72-81. Knew a lot of people from the area. I live in Texas now. Good too see a homey!

It is beautiful here; lakes, forests, etc. BUT.......I love the mountains and the wilderness. Can anyone suggest a particular area in Idaho to vacation in the summer where my family could see moose and elk? We have tons of deer in Wisconsin, but unfortunately, no moose. Also, I am interested in finding out about job openings in Idaho. My husband is an art teacher. We are curious as to the pay scale in Idaho. Any information from anyone would be appreciated. If any teacher has a home in the mountains that would be interested in swapping a week for our home in northwest Wisconsin, let us know. We can talk about it!
