1. What do you need to do to metal before bending it? Annealer is what I chose, is that wrong? 2. What are the large blocks of stone called to create Stonehenge? 3. One of the photos were a bunch of green vases... They asked what the style was 4. What is slip?
I can't remember anymore right now.... I am taking the test again on March 14th if anyone has any advice?
I read your questions and thought, wow, elementary teachers are sure a lot smarter than I thought they were cus most of them probably can't even pronounce annealer. Then I realized that you must be talking about the art Praxis. After taking it once do you have a pretty good idea what to do to pass next time?
I don't have a study guide, but I can give you tips, I just recently took this test and passed it with flying colors. The art making test will ask you for 4 works of art, ideally you will want to take 4 pictures of your artwork, go to walgreens or any photo place and print (4) 8 1/2" x 11" prints of your artwork. Diversify your mediums for all 4 works. I did one oil painting, one ceramic piece, one printmaking piece and one charcoal drawing so whoever graded the work saw that I clearly used 4 different mediums. Know your mediums and what type of mark making they create; for instance, they will ask you to demonstrate or describe the mark making of charcoal or other mediums, they will also ask you questions about your artwork, who your main influences were or how you were influenced to create the piece in the first place. I wrote that I was influenced by the impressionist period and by Vincent Van Gogh in one piece, because of the wonderful use of complementary colors and the vivid brush strokes that were present in his artwork etc...Write as much detail as you can, but be careful, this test has a short time limit and you might find yourself running out time, get the important information out on the paper, try not to stray away from the important stuff. Hope this helps!!! On 2/09/09, Lori Maynard wrote: > In need of a used study guide for march 14 2009

I am a Video Professional who is looking at going into teaching video/media at high schools. Is this a area that is popular or needed in highschools? Also, since I don't have a teaching degree, but a BA in TV/Film Production, what would I need to do to be able to teach? Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
For your area, check out the DOE site. Look up the assignment code. It is a PDF document that will show you what you can teach with your license. Also, the TV/Radio standards are on the BMIT page. It is at the DOE site as well.
Only some of the larger schools have this program though, so know it could be tight as far as openings.
Good luck.....

Go to the Praxis web site and there's a chart showing dates that you can get your scores a little early by calling, and dates that they are mailed out.
