Teaching Jobs on Teachers.Net

It has been over a year since I graduated and received my teaching license in science. I still have not been able to find a permanent teaching job. The job market looks to get even worse. I am truly angry at the media and state school administrators who were shouting about the shortage of teachers, especially in science and math. I am angry with short-sighted selfish politicians. I still love teaching and kids, but I regret wasting thousands of dollars, years of time, hard work and my family’s sacrifices. I should have gone into research, medicine or some other field. The irony of it is that I am a really good teacher. That may sound a bit conceited, but I have even had lots of students approach me and tell me. Even when I am just a "sub", students tell me they wish they had me for a real teacher. I even liked the all the preparation for classes, assessment, paperwork, etc. Crazy , huh.....

It is hard to give up your dream.
