Did any elementary in Indiana adopt a new math series last year? We are still using our old adoption (books are in sorry shape). We've been told the hold-up is at the state level, so I am curious to hear from other IN elementary teachers.

We used to do that with reading... Teachers in my school district used to be able to opt out on a reading book. Many teachers felt it was better for them to have the freedom to develop their own curriculum at thier respective grade levels. After two adoptions (12 years), this option was re- examined. Curious Kay Are parents still paying book rental this year? That is what I don't understand when I hear the money issue. Our corporation has the price of the book divided over 6 years and each parent pays his fraction of the overall cost.
