Just took the Art Praxis II content knowledge, Here are a few good areas to study/ know that i never would have thought of:

1. Local color: definition

2. Crackling Batik: definition + use

3. Ceramic Plasticity levels (compare + contrast)

in specific which is the most plastic: earthenware, terracotta, porcelain, or

stoneware.

4. if you are unfamiliar with ceramics terms and techniques i suggest checking out the book : "Ceramics, a world guide to traditional techniques" by Bryan Sentance. This is a very large picture based book with descriptive visuals that covers techniques, tools, and types of clay. It is a pricey large book , so check your local libraries. That is where i borrowed my copy from. It was immensely helpful.

5. Formalism: definition

6. Compare and contrast artistic teaching types

7. Burin: Definition

8: know the difference between miniatures and maquettes and the mediums use...See More
