I teach in Georgia and my colleague has a student who is being considering for retention. In addition to being very immature, he is not meeting most of the state standards for Kindergarten in GA. His parents are considering moving to Kentucky and want to know if how he would "compare" to Kentucky Kindergarten kids. Can you post a link to the Kentucky standards for reading, writing, and math in K for Kentucky. We have a feeling they are VERY similar to those in GA, but need it in black and white to share with the parents. Thank you!

I could potentially be moving to eastern Kentucky or western Virginia and was wondering if anyone could give me any info on working in Kentucky, as I am not from the state. What's it like working in Kentucky, pros/cons? What are those specific counties like? Specifically the elementary level. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!

Because there are poor to no regulations, not only is this a Kentucky problem, but a national problem! Too bad if you are offended... don't take offense!

I am a teacher in Tupelo, MS who is moving to the Louisville/ Oldham county area. I have six years exp and a Master's degree. I have completed my applications, and sent resumes to principals but so far I have heard nothing. I am worried that I am going to move next month and not have a job for the up coming year. I am posting this to try to network some to get my foot in the door. I have excellent references and evaluations. If you have any ideas or advice please reply.

As part of a graduate research project, I need to gather data from current teachers. I’m researching the use of technology in the classroom and what factors affect it. If you could just take a few minutes to complete my survey, I’d appreciate it. The survey is online and has 15 questions.
