I am so excited, and proud, to say that I am a Brand Partner for SnackHealthy where our #1 Income Earner is a former schoolteacher and mother of four sons. How wonderful is that?
Debbie Stein, our Top Income Earner, was able to leave a 20-year teaching career and make 3 times her teaching income! Not only is she the #1 Income Earner at snackhealthy, she is the National Trainer and takes great personal pride in introducing teachers – and all those in the educational field – to this incredible business opportunity and show them how the skills used in teaching are perfectly suited for a successful home-based business. Debbie is a delightful trainer who does not “sell” you, but rather provides basic information to see if snackhealthy is a right fit for YOU and your family!
Snackhealthy (SNAX) is a BRAND NEW Publicly Traded Company that launched in January 2012; we focus exclusively on Healthy Delicious ‘Better for You’ snacks for the entire family. Our products are All Natural, No Sugar Added, No Preservatives and Non-GMO.
What makes snackhealthy so special – and the income possibilities enormous! – is that it’s a chance for you to get in on the GROUND FLOOR of a publicly traded company (SNAX) and be among the first Brand Partners (representatives) in your area!

If anyone is interested or knows of any interested parties or programs that I can look into, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE call me @ (502) 548-4295. I live in Shelbyville, Ky but work in downtown Louisville so anything in between those two points is fine for me! :) Thanks so much in advance.
Unless you are very wealthy, your only affordable option would probably be if you can find a homeschooling mother who is willing to add your child to the ones they already have at home for a small cost. But if your son's behavior problems are severe, that may not last long. You didn't mention what behaviors your son is engaging in but children are not usually transferred out of an elementary school for minor problems. I think there has to be a pretty substantial paper trail on your son for the school to think they could take that step without risking a lawsuit from the parent.
You mention that he is better behaved when he doesn't have to compete with other children? What is he competing for? If he is just seeking attention then are you basically saying that he does better when he is made the center of attention by somebody? If that is the case then he is just plain spoiled. In that case, he would be best served by learning that he is not the center of the universe and that there are rules for his conduct and he is not above following them. This may not be the case at all. But it is the most common problem I have seen and the parents are usually in denial about it. So it is worth you at least considering if this is the issue and if you are looking at the situation honestly.

Any Jefferson County Teachers around? I am certified experienced math teacher. I have 14 years experience. I have applied to the Jefferson County school system. I have obtained my KY certification. Is there a math teacher shortage there? When do principals begin interviewing applicants? Any suggestions on how to land a position?

Have you seen the huge numbers of sped teachers that Jefferson county eliminated for next year? My advice is to move out of Ky. My husband and I are in the process of moving to Maryland where we have been hired for next year. Ky, by far is the worse place for teachers to get hired.

"I teach special education in Kentucky. I hear that this is no longer an emergency field, that there are plenty of special education teachers. Plus, one thing I can add is that the reason that there are plenty of teachers is that students do not qualify as easily as they once did. It makes perfect sense now why they don't, but that has cost some jobs and less one-on-one for struggling students."
A few months ago I found this educational site (Room Recess) that has some pretty simple but helpful games for elementary kids. I like to use the flash card races on the smartboard. There are math, reading, spelling and word games.

My 3rd graders are practicing division with this game, but I can see where it would work for any grade 1-5 really. You have 24 seconds (shot clock) to shoot the ball into the basket containing the correct answer (it has adding, subtracting, multiplication and division)
