HOW HARD IS IT TO FIND A TEACHING JOB?

I am wanting to go to school for special ed, elementary..but I've been hearing a lot that it's hard to get hired, not even experienced teachers can find a job. Is this true???

S I do not want to be a Negative Nelly, but I have never seen the teacher job market so bad. I have had 7 interviews (Spanish no less) and do not have a job. Every subject seems to be full. It seems a teacher has to know someone to get a job in KY.

Mrs. B I've been looking and applying for a year and a half. I search KYREAP and KDE often. I've put in several apps and I've only had one interview. I lost out to people who had seven years experience.
