I'm 3 classes away from completing my MEd program at Salem State Univ, with focus being in special education. I had concidered moving out west, but due to family constraints, will remain in MA. How are job prospects for SPED teachers in MA? Thanks

Jarod HM No. All the teachers that I know in your situation had to take General Curriculum to get the Moderate Disabilities license. The MA DESE website specifically requires the General Curriculum exam.

Jaron HM While I am no expert on elementary ed (I am secondary French and ESL), it seems to me that the elementary preliminary license is designed for people who are in a certification program but want to teach before the fulfill all of the requirements.
