Is there any prep courses that will help me pass this ECH MTEL? This is the last test I need to take in order to finish my grad program. Any advice or study tips would be great! Thanks

Having trouble finding substitute teaching positions in southern MA. Just looking to get some experience while I finish my last semester. I have passed Comm & Lit and Math(09) MTELs but cant even get an interview. Anyone know of any schools looking for subs in southeastern MA? thanks.
On 10/21/12, Other Optio...See MoreI agree with Other Options. We absolutely need more positive male role models in the elementary grades, and especially for our special needs and low-income kids. Some good news. My principal recently hired a new Reading Teacher. She is 52 years old and newly certified. In this case, no men applied for the position.

nice try monique... The time and energy you used to find this site and post your message could have been used to solve the problem by now. If you really don't know how to do it, check out this Khan Academy video lesson...
Does anyone know of a good tutor for the FOR Mtel. Just missed it by 5 points on my fourth try. Have taken prep courses, done lots of studying but still not making the grade.
It took 3 attempts- several friends who took it with me did not pass, Im confident they will pass next time. if you have taken this MTEL multiple times, keep the faith, you'll beat this test

I've been told to use the Practice Test on the MTEL website, as well as a to prepare an answer for the open ended question which asks you to write about a certain theme in a book you're read. Themes could be leadership, persistance, etc..
Ann FoxworthyJill- I charge 40 an hour. Where are you located?Ann > On 11/22/12, Ann Foxworthy wrote: >> I am a licensed math teacher. I tutor one on one or if you >> and a friend woud like to work together that's fine too. >> Hi, Please let me know what you charge and what your > availability is.
My students are the same age as the ones murdered in CT- just thinking about it makes me cry- and some of them heard about the tragedy and are frightened- I break down if I discuss the tragedy- should I do my best to not discuss the topic with my students? I have no idea how to address this nightmare to my kids- what approach have you used?
Did you ever take the EC Mtel ?
