I have not taken the ESL MTEL since the new standards and test were adopted, but I would say that you have a solid understanding of second language teaching acquisition terminology. Being trained as a French teacher, the ESL MTEL was pretty easy to me.

I am trying to become a teacher and have been applying to a ton of jobs with no success. I haven't really received a lot of feedback about it, so I thought who better to ask than actual MA teachers.
I am trying to become a middle school English teacher. I have a BA in English with a concentration in writing. I also passed my MTELS. One in communication and literacy and one in English 5-8. I also have almost a decade of childcare experience.
What am I missing and what is the cheapest way to achieve this? Do I need grad school? Or is there a cheaper way to apply to a program that will fast track me?

Does anyone know of any good resources for ideas, activities, tips, etc. for african studies? Preferably for elementary and middle school students. Our teachers look for new and clever ways to incorporate world geography during the school year, especially with african nations.
"I hear many people talk about tolerance and how we must learn to be tolerant toward those who are different from us. When we tolerate something, we put up with it temporarily until it is gone. We tolerate a toothache, back pain, and loud music coming from a neighbor’s house. Why would we ever put what we do with children in the same category? Instead, we should celebrate the differences of our children."

Hi there - I'm wondering if there are any MA music teachers out there who have gone through the "Class Measures" Performance Review Program for Initial Licensure?
