I graduated college with an initial license in PE from an approved program.

I have an intial license in PE. I want to get an initial in SPED moderate to mild disabilities.

Do I need to just take the required MTEL SPED tests to do this or do I need an approved licensure program in SPED as well.

I have taught SPED at the high school level, as well as I am a currentely a physical education teacher at the high school level right now.

Jarod HM While you don't need to have an SPED endorsement, you will need to submit proof that you have taken coursework that addresses the major competencies of the Moderate Special needs license. Confused Thanks for your response.

Could this be satified with a graduate degree in special education/ mild to moderate disabilities?

I saw an initial track licensure option at salem state college and it was 30 credits. This seems like too many credits here.

Is there a way around this since I already have an initial license.
