I'm nearling the end of my M.Ed with focus in Special Education (Moderate disabilities) up at Salem State Univ.

I wanted to teach here in MA...but I have several teacher unemployed friends, all of whom have been looking for a teaching job for over a year, and with no luck. They have warned me that teaching jobs are VERY hard to find in MA, and i should seriously concider a different state. Are teaching prospects really that bad in MA, even for Special Education teachers?

How are the opportunities for SPED teachers?

good The Lynn Public Schools are hiring special educationt teachers right now for the fall, due to ever increasing enrollment. In the spring, there were lots of special ed. positions advertised in various communities. The same will likely happen next spring.

GRHS Room111 If you don't mind living in the eastern part of Massachusetts, there are tons of job posting... In the Western part of the state (where I live), there are very few postings. I was looking for a job for 3 years before I was offered a job.
