What does it mean by a part time position in MCPS? I am interested in applying as an esol teacher, I see that they are all part-time, can one do part-time in two schools? I know esol teachers usually travel around?
If the position is 0.2 does that mean I will only get 20% of the annual salary I fall on?

I am certified in middle school here in CT, but the jobs here are extermely rare - been looking for almost 5 years and managed to land a few LTS assignments, one half-time assignment, and some para jobs. I do have my Masters.
What is the job outlook in MD? Are there teaching positions available?
Sure, they are so short of elementary education teachers here that they are flying them in from other countries. But Americans need not apply--unless they are TFA scabs that is

PG should probably pay heed to the old expression, "Be careful what you wish for."
Personally, I hope they get what they want and the consequences that come with it
Your English needs some work. If someone with your poor English skills gets hired when there are so many skilled people out of work, yeah, that makes me mad.
Assuming your post isn't just a troll post to begin with, note that you don't have a job in Maryland. You are just assuming you will get one
GenieI was offered an interview by MCPS but when they found out I was still in grad school, they told me to contact them in a few months (when my final semester was to start). It took me up until recently (FIVE YEARS LATER) to land a job there.
I am from PA and I have two questions Does tenure transfer from one county to another in Maryland? Would Frederick County hire a tenured teacher from another Maryland county and count years of experience and Masters degree towards salary?
I will appreciate if one can tell me the difference salary schedule (table A; Table B; Table C) between May 23, 09 - Jun 30, 09. (from Prince George’s web site) Thanks in advance to all. Ali

Just wanted to see if there were NB certified science teachers out there that would be willing to read an entry or two for me so I could get some feedback.
