I am a recent college graduate in December, with only a foreign language degree. I was hired yesterday by aacps at a middle school to teach french & spanish. I have only really taken 2 education courses in college and I am so excited because deep down I have always wanted to do this, but at the same time very nervous about just jumping head first into this new life! I plan on getting my MAT asap. Does anyone have any helpful advice on lesson planning or good sites to visit about lesson planning, and also some advice on classroom management for me? You can't teach (or you can try but won't get far) if you don't have their attention. Do what these books say until you have enough experience to develop some ideas of your own.

Management is key I would highly recommend taking some time to think about what you want your classroom to look like and how you want it to run.
