Must I wait for Jan. 1st to apply....or when I get my transcripts? I'm afraid there will be a period of just waiting around for things to be official. If anyone has gone through (or knows about) mid-year certification...I'd love any advice! Thanks!

My opinion: No reason not to get your name out now. I would go ahead and start applying and put your expected timetable on your application materials. Then update your applications/resume as things become concrete.
