I live in MD and am considering applying to some VA counties. Do I need to get my VA license first, or can they hire me conditionally until I meet the VA requirements (a few tests)?

Anyone who has had experience with this, I'm all ears :)
Did you post this question on the VA board? There are probably Virginia teachers who have first hand experience with this issue.

Mrs. L Do you have a MD license? VA will give you a license as long as you have a certification and three years of teaching experience in the other state. If not, you have to take the tests and apply.
