Hello,

I am still looking for a job but most of the Hr dept say wait till July is there any truth to this are should I just wait till next year. I always heard PG was hiring but even the folks there are saying wait till July I need any advice

also sped certified There is no longer any shortage of sped certified teachers. There are those with years, or even decades, of experience who have been laid off elsewhere that you are competing against.

also sped certified Yes, I live in Maryland. I am hoping that my experience and contacts will result in a job. If you read the job seekers chatboards, and keep up with the news, you know that tens of thousands of teachers are being laid off around the U.S., even as ed colleges are turning out new grads. understood I see what you are saying but I think it is still considered a critical needs area. I came from PA also. also sped certified Thanks for the tip. I personally cannot relocate due to having joint custody of my children. but maybe it will be helpful to someone else. I heard last night on the radio (NPR's "On Point") that some of the Great Plains states are doing well economically, have low housing costs,and have budget surpluses.
