Baltimore schools- relocation questions

I'm considering relocating to Baltimore, how is the pension in Baltimore schools? Do teachers there get social security? Is there stability for teachers or are there mass layoffs as there have been in other cities? What rights do teachers have if excessed due to budget? Thank you.

It's fine to seek info about pensions, etc., but have you researched the working conditions? Of course it varies from school to school, but many teachers have left, or rather, been driven out, by the violence, threats, and lack of civility (for which the teacher is blamed).
