The Girl From Stretchneck Holler "Inside Appalachia"

Hi Y'all, I retired from Nicholas County Schools in the Appalachian coalfields of West Virginia. My hometown is a one-stop light coal mining community. I wouldn't not call what I did retiring-I live with my daughter in Lake Norman, NC and help her with Anna 4.5 and Will 10 so I would call it a transition. Well, I've been writing and I wanted so much to tell you about our novel The Girl From Stretchneck Holler "Inside Appalachia" by Betty Dotson-Lewis and Kathleen Colley Slusher (Crab Orchard, KY). We were college classmates at Berea College. This novel is about life and how people hurt and survive and try to go forward. Some call it inspirational, some groundbreaking.
