Want to teach in Maine again!

I was born and raised in Maine. I loved it, that is until I graduated and I couldn't get a teaching job anywhere. So I did my time as an Ed. Tech in a greater Portland area school district. I was an assistant teacher to three 3rd grade classrooms. Even though I was an hourly employee I worked late (until 8pm some nights) and on weekends without getting paid. The parents and other teachers loved me. I was even mentioned at the 5th grade graduation this year (2 years after I had left). It was a one year only position so after it was over I was hoping to get a teaching job, I didn't even get an interview because the technology teachers all got cut and so they got the teaching jobs.

So I left the state to gain teaching experience because that's what all the districts told me I needed, experience. Now I have 3 years experience and I am applying to every job in the state.
