During the 1991 Gulf War, U.S. allies joined in the battle
and paid the freight. The present Bush Administration
not only has to promise big bucks to buy ‘allies’ for its
Iraqi adventure, it has to make some of these deals in
writing.
Pathetic. Absurd. And meriting a song on both counts.
This one may remind you a bit of Country Joe’s
anti-Vietnam war ditty, “I Feel Like I’m Fixin-To-Die Rag.
“ You could be hearing a lot of Iraqi invasion protest
songs in months to come...

I respectfully disagree that it is possible to purchase long
term alliances. Perhaps the current adm is not in cahoots
selling nuclear weapons to those lesser developed countries
and can only offer money and alliance in exchange for peace,
