If you are a teacher or you know a teacher who would like to join the conversation, please forward the invitation below. There are still places in the studio audience!
Are you or someone you know a certified teacher? Detroit Public Television is looking for certified teachers who are interested in finding solutions to improve Michigan’s graduation rate.
The Teacher Town Halls are part of American Graduate: Let’s Make it Happen, a public media initiative supported by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, to help local communities across America address the dropout crisis. Detroit Public Television is hosting one of 12 Teacher Town Halls across the country, supported in part by CPB and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
The Teacher Town Hall is a live broadcast event during which we will engage teachers in discussions about solutions to improve the graduation rate. We are inviting certified teachers from all over the state to be part of the live studio audience at our Riley Broadcast Center and to take part in the discussion, ask questions, and give their opinion about what has worked in their classrooms.
To register for the event go to [link removed].

Happy Thanksgiving, and thanks again for your unwavering support.
Does anyone know of any districts in Michigan (particularly SE MI) that teach Science as a special? The only one I know of is Chippewa Valley. Each week the students go to Science just like they would for PE, Art or Music. Any help would be appreciated.
My name’s Jim and I’m a semi-retired teacher and coach. If someone would have shared this opportunity with me when I was 25 and told me that I could be retired by age 30 with a monthly residual income that was ‘out of this world’, knowing what I know now, I would have jumped at the chance.
That’s exactly what I’m offering you; a way to leverage $80 a month into a 4-6 figure monthly residual income in approximately 24 months. It’s a simple concept based on numbers and, we all know, numbers don’t lie.
I would love to have the chance to tell you more, but for now, please go to my website and see for yourself. Enter your name, email and phone number (no obligation to look), and watch the 4 short video presentations. If you like what you see, get on the waiting list and secure your position in this home-based business that can be your vehicle to financial freedom in a very short time. I hope to hear from you soon because it really does work!
I agree . ?They sould make it an equal playing field.Give it to all or none. Just because you cann't afford it or live in a non-cell reception area should notallow others to get the jobs. Greed drives them to make more money. Everyone should call the school districts and complain. Equal or none. Rise up

I too agree that jobulator is unfair. I think the whole theme of PESG is unfair, though. We have to pay for the background/fingerprint check, we have to pay initially to register with them, we have to pay the state every year for a sub permit (which seems to go up every year), and now PESG wants to add the extra cost of Jobulator. They are not concerned with the individuals - only the amount of money they can make off of us! I doubt that contacting the corporate office would make any difference - there are too many people desperate for work that will do what ever it takes to get a job.
