My students are hitting all the objectives and I am even going ahead...I'm concerned about going too fast. Should I slow down and just dig deeper into the material or do I just keep going at this pace?? I want to do what's best but I dont want them to be bored! any thoughts??
Is anyone familiar with cranbrook schools in west bloomfield?? I hear the campus is beautiful but they pay and treat teachers very poorly. I definitely don't want to work in an environment like that again...can anyone give me insight on this?

I felt like I was in an enchanted Christmas town... it was so beautiful, like a Hollywood set! BUT, can you imagine working with some of the parents? Just let your imagination run wild there... yikes...

Hello! Has anyone ever used mttcbiology.com or mttcchemistry.com for their practice tests? If so, are they helpful?! Please let me know, I'm freaking out!! thanks so much :)
I am looking into a masters degree program online from the university of southern Mississippi. On the Michigan website it just says you need to choose an approved program...does anyone know if you can get your credits out of state for re-certification?
Thank you! This program is much cheaper than any of the programs in Michigan.
I am in the same situation and looking to get my early childhood (ZS) endorsement. NONE of the schools listed on the MDE website who are approved for ZS offer online programs, and the closest school to me is 3 1/2 hours away so taking classes there is not going to be possible.
Carrie, the only answer I have to your question is that a friend of mine is getting her bachelors in elementary ed online, and was told (by the school) that she has to get a certificate in her state and transfer it to Michigan. This means for her taking both the praxis and the MTTC to get her cert here. However she was still waiting to hear back from MDE on it so dont' know how accurate the info she was given is.
Soo, if anyone has any information/advice for both of us it would be great!!
sanstorm9@yahoo.comGo to the Michigan Website and there is information that will tell you how to get re-certification. If you have been teaching in your subject area you can just pay the money to get a certificate for two more years. You can do that for twice, than you will have to take 9 credits or go for your masters, which is costly. Has anyone got a curriculum guide for 5th grade in Math and Science? Are there any sites that offer some information on what the assessments will look like? Why are we left scratching our heads trying to figure this stuff out???
