Has anyone recently taken the MTTC Biology test (017)? If so, any tips? Advice could be general or specific - I'm just wondering how specific the questions really are. It's been a while since I reviewed my high-school biology, so I'm looking for some guidance!
I know elementary and general ed teachers are OVER SATURATED..what about speech teachers or speeach pathologists? Would I have luck finding a job if I got a Speech Endorsement? Thanks for the advice!

I would LOVE the CDs!! I am a SpEd teacher working with EI kids, and they would love to hear him!! (Even if THEY don't know it....YET!!) :-) My school address is: Southeast Kelloggsville 240 52nd. St. SE Kentwood, MI 49548 Again THANK YOU!!
You could leave your degrees off and put your certifications on, this would make your resume more of a functional resume and not a chronological one. That would be a better choice.
Remember, a resumes job is to get the interview, the job of the interview is to get the job.

This is from a distri...See MoreThe district is cutting the DARE program, all junior high sports, library aide time, custodian postion, safety patrol, 1 secretary position, "pause" on curriculum supplies, to name a few. Next year on the chopping block closing two emementary buildings, going back to every other day kdg., eliminating preschools, etc.
This is from a district that the auditors said was in good shape, two months ago. Notice no cuts at the admin. level?? They refuse to get in their fund balance. We are negot. a contract.
School nurse position is being cut at the end of the year. And...she won the MI School Nurse of the Year award this year.
Talk about moving all the 6th graders out of the elem. buildings to the Jr. High. Make it a middle school. District would save $ with instrumental music instructors, PE, and art teachers. Time would be cut from the needed elem. with less rooms to meet with, and they would be electives at the jr. hi.
More gossip: two elem. building closed, selling the central office building and the alternate education building (putting them together in one of the closed buildings). This is after the central office was remodeled and updated this summer. And this is just the beginning.....
