Hello, I had a great track record before taking a job in Michigan. I always had excellent reviews, but my third year in Michigan, I had my contract non-renewed. Despite the fact that I had two years with perfect reviews (under the old principal), during my third year, the new principal didn't like me and decided not to renew my contract for a fourth year.

My question is, I ended up resigning to avoid the non- renewal. Do I have to tell employers that I wasn't going to be renewed before I resigned? I can't believe this happenned to me. Does anyone know any other teachers that were fired and then hired by another district? Not sure what to do, education was my life!

Thanks,
