MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Social Work. Approval as a School Social Worker from the Department of Education, State Board of Education, State of Michigan. Basic Performance Responsibilities:
· Initiate and support parent group activities.
· Provide evaluations of suspected emotionally impaired students.
· Participate as a team member on a C.E.T.
· Able to coordinate M.E.T.S. and I.E.P.T.’s.
· Ability to work effectively within a team.
· Ability to provide functional behavioral assessments and implement behavior plans.
· Help in monitoring compliance of special education law regarding criteria for placement, eligibility and other special needs.
· Provide effective therapeutic intervention individually and in a group setting with elementary students.
