As a community college teacher (it just transformed from a tech college) how can I quit before I'm tenured? Is it true they can sue me? I need answeres. I am frustrated with this school's system and see no hope of change in our department.
I was reading somewhere that Kelly Educational Services is now providing the substitute teaching force for some school districts here in the Minneapolis- St. Paul area. I am curious to know which school districts their substitutes are working-in? Beginning in September,2006, Kelly Educational Services began hiring, handling sub- assignments,sub-calling, payroll, essentialy all substitute teaching duties for the Orange County Schools in Orlando, Florida and surrounding suburbs.
I sure would like to hear from individuals who substitute in those districts served by Kelly to see if any of these districts are close to my home? How both the permanent and substitute teachers both like their services? Are they getting assignments regularly? What are the feelings of school administrators in the Kelly districts and Kelly Employee's? Does Kelly offer fringe benefits to the substitutes: medical, dental, life insurance, vacation, summer employment, etc?
I believe Kelly Educational Services has their local offices somewhere in the Northwestern Suburbs of Minneapolis.

I am a graduate student at Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi. I am conducting research for my master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction, specializing in math. Specifically, I created a survey regarding the role of virtual manipulatives in today's mathematics classroom. I am in the process of distributing this survey to as many mathematics teachers as possible. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Below is a direct link to the survey:
