Subbing in Columbia, MO ????

We would like to sub in Columbia, MO....
I'm a retired elem. teacher.
My husband is a retired administrator.
We are from Wisconsin/so carry WI teaching licenses.
Is there any one that would know what it takes to sub in
Columbia? I realize we need to apply/etc.--will the
district accept an out of state license?
Is there a long list of subs?
Does the system work on a call in the morning system?
Is there a need for substitute teachers in Columbia?
I'm checking out the website for Columbia....just
wondering if someone living there could give us any good
advise or some perspective of what to expect.

have 19 elementary schools. Derby Ridge is bursting at it's seams
right now, but we are getting a new elementary school (opening in
2009) that will reduce the # of students there. Field Elementary and

living there until October. I will still check into subbing,
as I do enjoy it. My hubby is a retired administrator (taught
years ago), so we will see where we fit in.
