your assistance with my question. I am an adult seriously
thinking of changing my career field to high school math
or science. No one in my family or group of friends is an
educator so such things as common retirement benefits are
not known to me. Can someone please enlighten me and give
me some idea what type of retirement benefits teachers
often receive? Some specific questions I have are 1) How
to estimate retirement pay? 2) Is retirement pay indexed
to inflation or increased over time? 3) Any health care or
other non pay retirement benefits typically provided? 4)
Any benefits to a spouse if a retired teacher dies? For
example would a surviving spouse continued to receive all
