I know this is late, but I am searching for the next school year. What area of Montana is Lindsay in? Which grades? Is it K-6? Is teacher housing available there? I hate to ask this first off, but what is the pay scale? Thanks for answering me back even though it's for next year. I'm just looking into teaching in Montana and any useful information is great.

I am looking for teachers who are dedicated and will participate fully in this project. Last year we had had a wonderful response rate and I would like to see that continue.
Each teacher will be responsible for sending a postcard to each of the other states. Please include information about your state such as state symbols and interesting facts. Our third grade curriculum includes learning about our town so we will include that information as well. In return, you will receive a postcard back from each of the states involved. Address labels will be provided to you if you wish. Also, a list of names, addresses, and school websites will be e-mailed to you. My goal is to mail address labels by mid to end of September. The mailing deadline for the postcards is October 27th.
If you are interested in participating in this exchange, please send the following information to my email address: kimberleyg2003yahoo.com.

Hi! I am trying to find out if anyone in Montana is using my music yet, just out of curiousity. I know of 34 out of 50 states that have at least one person that uses HeidiSongs- but not Montana. Is there anyone from Montana out there using Sing and Spell or Jumpin' Numbers? Heidi
I am in need of a MT teacher to join my 50 state postcard exchange. I only have a few states left. If you can help me out, please email me at [email removed]
Include the following:
Who you want the postcards addressed to (Mrs. Hollingsworth's Class) Your school name and address Your grade level(s)
Once I have all 50 states plus Wash. D.C. filled, I will send out an email with a list of the participating teachers and ways to incorporate this exchange into your curriculum. Also, I will snail mail FREE LABELS to make your life easier. Please contact me now if you would like to join. I need one teacher from each state listed above. By October 1st each participating teacher will need to send a postcard to each participating teacher. Thanks for your help. Contact me if you have questions. :)
We have teachers from several states (5) that exchange traveling buddies (beanies) throughout the year. The mascots are mailed in a round robin pattern about every 3 weeks. The mascot has a journal and a few things about their state that is sent to the other classrooms. We did it last year and it was very successful with the children. We would love to have an Montana particpant so the mascots would be traveling to most parts of the US. If interested please email me at [email removed]
I teach a course at Montana State University that deals with all aspects of the creation of meaningful, useful, and attractive classroom display. Its not really as boring as it sounds since we use just about every art form and technology available to create what we call 3-D displays.
My problem is that I think that I'm doing a pretty good job based on comments from students and other teachers here in the education department at MSU. The problem being that I haven't ever done a survey of whats going on out in the real world. Oh sure, I wander around schools and look at their displays and talk to teachers on an informal basis, but I really don't have a feel for what you guys consider you greatest mistakes, challenges, and successes.
So...
If you could just send a sentence or two about the physical educational look of your classroom, and how you incorporate graphics, photographs, video, sculpture, text into the displays in your classroom - and how you got there - and what to avoid - and the little tips and tricks and economies you use, I would be for ever greatful and we would all end up being a lot smarter and more efficient.
Thank so much Jim Vernon, Media Services, Montana State University
