Alaska Delaware Idaho New Mexico North Dakota Rhode Island South Dakota Vermont (and Washington DC if I can find you!)
Quick Rules (I'll be emailing everyone specifics): *Each postcard has 2 state facts and then 1 fun fact (can be about anything from your class to your town..anything.)
*Postcards should be store bought
*You'll send out 5 cards a week starting mid-late September (you can put the same three facts on each card to make it easy)...that way you should have all 50 postcards by the beginning of December. There is an order to the five states...you'll see who you send yours out to once I send the final addresses email.
*With the addresses, I am sending an attachment of the letter I will be sending home to parents. You can personalize it to fit your class! :)
*Have more questions? Email me! [email removed]
Everyone involved is very excited and I know the kiddos are going to love this. I hope you're one of the missing states!
I am putting together a 50 postcard exchange! I am collecting address of interested teachers- 1 from each state. I am desperately in need of North Dakota! For our exchange, each class is required to send a postcard from their state to each of the other classes. If all goes as planned, you should receive 49 postcards- 1 from each other state in return. This is a great way to teacher about the US and makes a really fun bulletin board! If you are interest, please email me at [email removed]:

-We have a growing member list of classrooms from across the Unit...See MoreDo you celebrate the 100th Day of school! We are putting together a fun cumulative project to help celebrate the 100th Day of School-The 100th Day Postcard Exchange! We are in need of a classroom from your state and we hope you’ll join us!
Here’s how it works:
-We have a growing member list of classrooms from across the United States! Our goal is 100 classrooms (2 from each state)! We are well on our way but are missing at least 1 room from your state hence why we are contacting you!
-Each classroom receives a very well organized member list that shows all classrooms, their mailing addresses, their e- mail addresses, and 2 check off columns )1 a sent to column and 1 a received column). This list serves as a check off chart and informational chart for the program. You will have the names of all 99 classrooms and they will have yours.
-You and your class will create a message to include on your postcards it should have 2 state or city facts and at least 1 school fact about your school! This message can be the same for all postcards and can even be typed up and printed out to be glued on to the postcards!
-POSTCARDS-Can be created by your class out of card stock, can be order through sites such as Vista Print for free or minimal cost, or can be collected from your students (ie-if you have 20 kids each could bring in 5 postcards a piece with postage on them and you would be done). Postage may also be paid by your district or administrator if you present them with your project information!
-As you send out and receive postcards you can check them off on your membership list. All postcards need to be sent out by the end of December-you can send them out 1 @ a time, 5/week if you start in September (not counting holiday weeks), or all 99 @ once!
-It’s a great display in your room or hall if you hang a map of the US and then attach your cards to the corresponding state as they come in!
***@ the end of the exchange by your 100th Day of school you will have received 100 postcards which is a great way to share with your students what 100 truly looks like!
If this is something you would be interested in as a learning and fun experience for your students this year please e-mail me back your name, grade level, and school mailing address and I will forward your information to our facilitator! She in turn will e-mail you a newbie member informational e-mail asking for your RSVP and then you are official!
Our hopes are that this will be a yearly project for all of us due to our commitment to learning and seeing the enjoyment and knowledge it brings to our kiddos!

I would like to find a class of Fourth, Fifth, or Sixth graders to become penpals for this year. We could share information every few weeks. I teach in Central Florida with 24 Fifth Graders. It will be part of my writing curriculum. Thanks Please email at [email removed]
We still need a ND class for our postcard exchange if you are intersted! Just let me know ASAP. We are planning to begin our exchange in October. Thanks! Looking forward to ND joining our exchange! Heather Jones [email removed]
