My name is Jennifer Rossi. I am moving to New Hmpshire and am looking for an elementary school position. I am currently MA certified grades 1-6 and have looked into NH certification. It looks like it will not be a problem to become NH certified grades k-8. I have my BA in elementary education and psychology and just completed my masters in education at Bridgewater state college. I specialized my masters in special education. I am willing to relocate and am flexible. If you have any advice or information, it will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your time and assistance. Regards, Jen Rossi

I'm thinking of moving away from California....to NH next summer. I have my elementary credential (NCLB-compliant!) and i'm wondering what the job availability is in NH. I hope it is better than CA....I applied to 23 districts; and CA school districts aren't small!

In good areas of southern NH that's just about the same price for real estate........in any area with decent schools 250-300K for a 3BR with land is the tag, if not more, plus property taxes here in NH are up the WAZOO......I love NH but DO NOT come here thinking it's a bargain....north of Boston area includes southern NH and is one of the most expensive places in the US, even more expensive than CA
And I looked for over a year for a job, > applying to 23 districts, but mind you those districts serve > about 15 million people (well, that size of a > population....less children...) so hmm.....I guess, NH is > about one iota better in job availability and housing.....so > i'm not glad or sad! > > What is the education system like in NH? In Manchester there is a large Hispanic subpop. Cert NH has quite a diversity of schools - quality varies greatly by district and NH still has a lot of local control - so district polics, etc vary greatly as well.
Move to FAIRFAX VA or LOUDOUN VA..average house is $450,000 plus and that gets you NOTHING...2-3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and 1200 square feet....
