Hi there, I just recently moved to Nashua and I would like
to get into teaching, HS Spanish or Psychology. I
currently work a 9-5 corporate job and have a Bachelors
degree, but am a little confused about my options to get
certified in NH. Anyone recently go through this? I dont
know many people yet for networking, etc. so I was hoping
to get some advice here. Email me if you would like as
well.

Thanks Lisa

Take a serious look at Alternative IV on the state website.
If you have the requirements I strongly suggest you apply for
a statement of eligibility in a critical shortage area. It
only took one week for them to send me one for General

I just checked, Spanish is a critical shortage area. There
does not seem to be that many job postings but I bet that there
are a lot fewer applicants for each spanish job than there is
for ss.

Good Luck, Dot

If you live in Nashua, consider getting certified for MASS
not NH - better pay and easier to get in (prelim cert=take
the MTEL, see state of MA DOE website) - there are also many
more districts you can commute to that are in MA as opposed
to NH (bigger target field)

Also, get some type of classroom ...See More
