My husband and I raised our family in Wyoming and Colorado, then moved to Hawaii for five years to work at a very nice little charter school. We love the people and the challenge, but have family members with health issues we need to be closer to. We are considering the Northeast because we like smaller schools, smaller classes, and enjoy using the curricula that seem to be pretty popular in the Northeast--Responsive Classroom, Guided Reading, Six Traits Writing, FOSS science, Everyday Math, Bridges Math, Four Blocks approach to Literacy, etc.

I am talking with a school in Vermont next week. A...See More

Tina Rizor I am talking with some folks in Randolph, Vermont, but we have been looking in all the Northeastern states....Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, as well some spots in the Southeast--mostly charter schools and the more progressive districts.

Tina

PS The time difference from there to Hawaii is six hours--we are six hours behind you. So ...See More
