At the 4th and 5th meeting I was lead to believe that the position was mind that we were just waiting for the superintendent to come back from vacation and make a decision about salary. The very next day after my last meeting, the school district reposted the previous job advertisement. At my last meeting I was told by the old and new principal that the superintendent was on vacation and that they will be intouch. I sent an email to the new principal today(a week later) asking if he could tell me when the superintendent is coming back from vacation or when he expects someone might contact me regarding the next step. I have not heard back from him yet. Should I try calling the principal? Since they reposted the opening does that mean i am no longer their person of interest? I have not received any calls or letter stating anything of the sort but I am starting to worry. When I last met with the superintendent(meeting #4),We spoke about the position and salary. He said what i was looking for in salary was to high for what they offer for a leave replacment position and that he would get back to me. Then 5 days later the principal called me and invited me to come in and meet with the new principal and a few teachers and notified me that the superintendent was on vacation. Any advise?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for middle schools in Northern New Jersey that have instituted (or attempted to institute) advisory programs. If anyone has the name of any school district that has done advisory at the middle level, or has any experience they would like to share, any info would be appreciated. Thanks! Pat
Kay, I know someone who was recently offered a job at a Catholic school, with a starting teacher's salary of about 30,000, so I project a principal's salary has got to be at least double that? ... maybe 65 or 70,000? ML
