Can't avoid not being rehired, can't fight it, I'm nontenured. Should I resign or accept being terminated and how does that affect unemployment in NJ?
easy answer Neither. You are not being terminated. That is different from not having your contract renewed. Do not resign. If you do you have left voluntarily and you don't get unemployment. If your contract isn't renewed and you cannot get another position by September, you can file for unemployment.
