Teaching Jobs on Teachers.Net

While we are on the subject of looking for a job, I too have been looking for a teaching position for about a year and a half. I am an Art teacher and hold a CEAS.

I have seen many jobs go to people already in the district, or to people who know people in the district. I am looking for a way to make me stand out from the hundreds of other resumes districts receive when they are looking to hire from outside of their district.

Currently my resume and cover letter are on ivory paper, I am thinking of switching to a light blue, and possibly a brown or different color font.

Any opinions? Advice?

Thank you
