I have been working on my General Ed (K-8) bachelor's degree for 2 years, although I took a few more electives than I probably should have. The degree program I am taking gives subject endorsements with 24 credit hours of coursework on that subject. Anyway, I want to get both science and math endorsements for my teaching license, (when I get it) and try to get the coursework done before my lottery scholarship runs out. I went on the NMTA website and it wasn't really clear what needed to happen. Parts of the website made it sound as if you need to do both the coursework and the test to get the endorsement on your license, but other parts seemed like there is an either/or option. My question is, could I do the coursework for science and just go take the test for math? This whole process is somewhat unknown to me. Thanks in advance!
