Do not put anything past CCSD. They tried to set me up by putting pictures of girls on my computer, but they should have done the research first. Sort of hard to blame me for having photos of girls when I do not like girls. Also, Amanda Fulkerson's husband at NPRI sent an email to all teachers saying to dump the union. How did he do that? Do not put anything past these wicked people who run CCSD. They are truly evil.
Again, do not believe anything CCSD says, they are documented liars. Once a liar, always a liar. If these people worked in the private sector, the would be fired, and if they were in the military would have been Court Martialed by now. This is why that work for the government, and if you are an incompetent and want to stay under the radar, be a company man or woman with CCSD, they will protect you. The Review Urinal constantly talks about the "ineffective teacher." Well, none of them are in the classroom, they are Facilitators, Coordinators, Liaisons, Administrators.
You pay and steps have been frozen in order to give these people jobs. If they were fired, they would be able to pay the classroom teachers more. So, we have met the enemy, and they are us. We have Paul Feaker, one of Jack Gordan's boyfriends attacking the Union for fighting for classroom teachers, because old Paul might have to go back to the classroom where he belongs due to budget cuts. Well Paul, CCSD is looking out for you. They claim they are broke but have plenty of money to give you guys desk jobs.
Why administrators are allowed to have unions in the first place is a mystery to me. They already have too much power as it is by virtue of being supervisors.

Does anyone feel like they are being picked on by your principal or assistant principal? Any stories to relate about investigations that you have had or are currently having?
I filled out all the paper work application, phone interview, received the state of Nevada teaching license.
Last week I received a phone call from HR instructional department asking me if I will agree to be placed at a school of their choice. I said no.
Now I am worried. Can they remove my name from the database and I won't receive any phone calls from school principals? I was warned by HR not to call the school principals or send out my resume.
Should I call HR and agree to be placed at a school of their choice?

The world is just one big turd sandwich, and we are all going to have to take a bite. We all have. You have to put in your time.

This Guthrie clown said that teachers do their best work in their first three years. He should have been put in a straight jacket and taken to the nearest mental ward when he said that whopper. But you have to read between the lines. This is part of his agenda with Bill Gates, Rupert Murdoch, Bloomberg, Jeb Bush to make teaching a "transitional" job, just another step on your rung up the corporate ladder for the Little Eichmanns. This of course will be very cheap for those selfish bast*rds who want to pay as little in taxes as possible.

Did the RJ mention that DOCTOR Guthrie said that advanced degrees do not make you a better teachers? Gee, Guthrie, why did you get advanced degrees you hypocrite.

I'm an experienced educator and have an active application on file with CCSD (considering a move to Las Vegas/Henderson). When is the transfer period over? When will principals start looking at applications? Thanks in advance for any information!
Rep. Joe Heck, representing the third congressional district in NV, voted against protections for domestic violence, voted to end Medicare as we know it, and led the charge to allow bosses to deny their employees healthcare.
> Rep. Joe Heck, representing the third congressional
> district in NV, voted against protections for domestic

I am no fan of Joe Heck. But Can you be specific? What law needs to be passed that has not already been passed regarding domestic violence?
>voted to end Medicare as we know it, and led the
I think the key word here is "as we know it." Where are you parroting that slogan from? Didn't Obamacare end medicare "as we know it" also?
> charge to allow bosses to deny their employees healthcare.
If you boss will not give you healthcare, DON'T work for them. Get another job. Start your own business instead of thinking that someone owes you healthcare because they gave you a job. Where did this notion come from that employers have to give you healthcare? I guess they could pay you less, and give you the money to buy your own healthcare.
If you are a teacher, you should get your priorities straight and worry about what is going on on the state and local level. Sandoval and the CCSD Board of Trustees are in a position to cause you much more grief that Joe Heck voting for laws that Obama will NOT SIGN, and the Senate will NOT PASS.
1. "(Heck) voted against protections for domestic violence.
Wrong. He voted for the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) in both 2011 and 2013. In 2011, this resulted in an additional $600M in help for victims of domestic violence.
2. "(Heck) voted to end Medicare as we know it"
Social Security and Medicare will "end as we know it" if no action is taken. Obamacare cut $500B -- that's right, half a trillion dollars - from Medicare. And you think voting to reform Medicare so that it exists for future generations is a bad thing? We should all end Medicare as we know it, because "as we know it" - it's set up for failure.
3. "(Heck) led the charge to allow bosses to deny their employees healthcare."
Wrong again. "Led the charge?" There is no evidence of such a claim. The closest vote that any reasonable person could infer you are referring to here is the Health Care Conscience Rights Act - which would protect employers who refuse to offer certain controversial coverages on moral grounds. Example: I am Catholic, and I own a business. I do not want to offer my employees a plan that includes coverage for abortions, yet the Obamacare-approved plans include it. My choice is to either offer a plan that doesn't include abortion coverage, or offer no insurance. You would prefer me to offer no insurance at all? As the employer, I am paying a portion of your health insurance costs. I should be able to choose what I offer, and you should be able to choose whether you (a) work for me, and (b) whether you want the insurance that comes with your job.
Finally, the teachers unions in Nevada in 2012 refused to endorse Rep. Heck's Democrat opponent. While seeing them endorse a Republican would be like finding a unicorn on the moon, the fact that they chose to stay out of the race should tell you something.
This is pure partisan hackery, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Heck wanted to notify ABUSERS that their victims called for help.
Heck wanted to allow domestic violence against LGBTQ Americans to continue unchecked.
Joe Heck, when asked about his opposition to insurance coverage of contraception (bet he supported insurance coverage for Vi#gra) said, "The fact is this has nothing to do with women's health issues."
Contraception has nothing to do with women's health issues? How can Heck even begin to justify such a statement?
This is why politics...See MoreMore lies. Do you work for the Democratic Party? This is some horrible spin, so much so that it's no longer true.
Perhaps you need to reevaluate your priorities if your hatred for a Republican trumps your ability to be human, tell the truth, and have a honest and forthright discussion about political issues.
This is why politics in America sucks. You.

This is NOT a place to get hyper political, and start bashing elected officials - especially for non-education related issues.
The last bunch of posts have ALL targeted Congressman Joe Heck - with lies and unsubstantiated accusations, mind you - and have had nothing to do with education or teaching.
So has everybody here. That's what all the outrage is about over gay marriage. The loudmouths who hate gay people believe that loving someone "the wrong way" ought to be a crime.
You are an idiot. You must be some type of mind reader to know that "everybody" here has the same stupid interpretation of "love crime" as you do lady, and you ARE a woman? Correct? Only someone with a serious chemical imbalance and emotionally compromised could think up such a disconjointed rationale. Did you ever think long enough to think that Jews, Christians, and Muslims hate gays and gay marriage, because their God hates gays and gay marriage? Read the Jewish Bible, and see that all the "hate" Marxist propagandists like you attempt to blame on Christians comes from the Jewish Bible. Ask an Orthodox Rabbi what he thinks of gay marriage, but your fellow Marxists in the media only want to make people think that Christians are full of hate. The "hate" blamed on Christians comes from the Old Testament. Read it Comrade. Any Clergy of Christian, Jewish or Muslim who favor gays or gay marriage are frauds and only in the religion "game" for their own personal financial enrichment, and should have their tax exempt statuses revoked.
Easier said than done to get a lawyer in Nevada willing to take on these huge school districts like Clark and Washoe. The districts have their tentacles everywhere in their communities, and it may be extremely difficult to get a lawyer to take your case. Tried and failed to get that route when my district illegally fired me several years ago.
Forget using NSEA's law firm especially, since they are typically in cahoots with the school districts.
